How to download your trade statement from your broker

Taxify needs a statement of your trades in a supported format. Below you'll find the exact steps for each platform – the export takes just a few minutes.

IB

Interactive Brokers

Recommended format: Flex Query XML

  1. 1

Log in to Client Portal at interactivebrokers.com.

  2. 2

Open Performance & Reports → Flex Queries in the menu.

  3. 3

Create a new Activity Flex Query: in the sections, select Trades, Cash Transactions (dividends and withholding tax) and Corporate Actions.

  4. 4

Choose XML as the format and set the period to the full tax year (1 Jan – 31 Dec).

  5. 5

Run the query and download the generated XML file.

  6. 6

Upload the file to Taxify – we take care of the rest automatically.

Alternatively you can use an Activity Statement (Performance & Reports → Statements) in CSV format. The Flex Query contains more complete data, so we recommend it.

XTB

XTB

Import in active development

  1. 1

Log in to the xStation 5 platform.

  2. 2

Open Account History in the bottom panel.

  3. 3

Set the period to the full tax year (1 Jan – 31 Dec).

  4. 4

Click the export icon and choose XLSX or CSV format.

  5. 5

Keep the downloaded file – you'll upload it to Taxify once XTB import launches.

XTB import is in active development. You can download your statement now and import it as soon as it launches.

BNB

Binance

Import in active development

  1. 1

Log in at binance.com and open Orders → Transaction History.

  2. 2

Click Export Transaction Records (top right).

  3. 3

Set the date range to the full tax year (you may need to export by quarters).

  4. 4

Generate and download the CSV file.

  5. 5

Keep the downloaded file – you'll upload it to Taxify once Binance import launches.

Binance limits the number of export requests per month – we recommend exporting the whole year at once.
