Data import guides
How to download the trade statement from your broker and upload it to Taxify
Why Taxify needs the statement from your broker
The tax on investments is calculated from each trade. Taxify must know the date, the quantity and the price of each buy and sell, and each dividend and each withholding tax paid abroad.
Your broker already has this data. The statement contains all trades exactly as the broker booked them, and Taxify processes it in a few seconds. You do not type anything by hand, so there are no typing errors.
Upload the full account history
Taxify finds the acquisition price of a sold security with the FIFO method – a sell is matched with the oldest buy. That buy can be several years old. Thus upload the full account history, not only the year of your tax return. On the next import, Taxify skips the trades that it already has.
Select your broker
At the moment, Taxify imports the statements of these brokers. We add more brokers step by step.
